"enthiran"-robot, audio launch

Putrajaya is now much quieter without the hustle and bustle there was over the weekend filling the air with the Tamil and Malay language. Well you may wonder what was happening then. If you haven

a) Read the papers

b) Seen statues on facebook

c) Read the circling hype on the net Or

d) Seen the YouTube clippings,

My my aren’t you lost?, We had South Indian Super Star; Rajnikanth, Director; Shankar, Oscar winning music director; Ar Rahman, Miss World; Aiswariya Rai and India’s biggest Tv network owner(Sun Tv); Kalanithi Maran here to do the audio launch of Indian cinemas most expensive movie to date, Enthiran, The Robot.

Ok so since they made so much of fuss that not everyone was mentioned at the show im gonna spend the next few lines trying to recall who all attended... Vivek (was the host), Sangeetha, Krish, Vadivelu, Santhanam, Karunas, Jayam Ravi, Simbhu, Ramya Krishnan, Shreya, Vijays dad, Radha Ravi, a whole troop of background dancers, Kala master and yea that should be all I think.

So yea, so eventually at 730pm the red carpet rolls out and the stars keep coming, along with the Malaysian Ministers as such. The ones interviewing for Astro, man, need to polish skills on interviewing super big stars, like seriously, was so awful i could almost hear the director screaming at them thru the ear piece.

So time moves on and tada! The show starts on time, ok a few speeches, a few tributes, bunch of songs and dances, and hour and a half later, im still yet to hear an Enthiran song. Ok never mind, close to 10pm, Miss rai decides to show up, how kind of her right? So they try do some ‘hu ha’ and the cd gets launched, somehow or another.

Then finally we get to hear the songs and you know what, their recorded!!! Argh! Now i get SO annoyed... for so MUCH of hype, they couldn bring the singers, like really? and hire a band? For ‘Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya’ Gautham took his singers and went to UK....this is like 2 days in KL, 3 hours away from Chennai. It was such a disappointment.

Vivek was really testing everyones patience throughout the whole show. I expected so much mor, but oh well, that’s that...let’s just hope in 4 weeks everyone is not going to be as disappointed as they were for Raavan and Raavanan!
