Goa!

Ok i cant believe people have actually turned to my blog for movie reviews, even shocking i cant believe people are reading my blog and even telling me about it, lol. Thank you very much. I did watch Alive in Wonderland but it was such a disappointment that its gonna take me time to digest before i actually can ramble about it, and yes i intend to watch ‘remember me?’ though i hate twilight oh and the Blind side! *yeay*... wonder how i intend to do all this over work, game, and trying to grad. Aiks!

Be warned this is another language film, and there will be another “Dance Pe Chance’ once i get around to watching it, over the next few days.
Goa, if anyone was not aware is a place in India. (Score 1 if u do ;) a major tourist destination area, oh and drug hub, etc etc, apparently its a real gorgeous place and hopefully i will be landing there at the end of the year, Obviously not important.

Rajinikanth’s animation was supposed to be her first production venture, but for Soundarya Rajinikanth, this turned out to be her first production venture instead. After Saroja, which i enjoyed and Chennai 60028, which i never understood, but both were box office hits, one would have expected this to be the same, but unfortunately for Venkat Prabhu’s holiday, i think it wasn so great, maybe it made the box office but i obviously din bother looking that up :S

With the same young team, Goa is a holiday on its own and easy to determine the target crowd and its surely not a family show. Trust me. Three friends from a village (which i cant remember the name), Jai, Premji and Vaibhav are brats, always breaking the village rules. So in result at the ‘ruling’ under the tree, the three families are forbidden frm speaking to one another. Obviously being them, they break the rules and run away to Madurai together to go see Jai’s friend. When they get there, they see him getting married to a white female whom he met in Goa and was gonna go with her overseas t settle down. Seeing this, these three jokers run away to Goa as well, to seek for the similar life as him. And thats where the rest of the story takes place. Its apparently Goa, but its SO obviously Langkawi and Bangsar, can you imagine. Oh and the popular stage song was at the budaya place...Ish ish anyway...

Premji does a whole role of hilarious stunts, the mentionable ones being, the fact that he’s God’s child from all the olden day movies was a riot. Nextly, he does a fight scene, yes him and with all sorts of background music, especially Vijay’s vettaikaran, was hilarious! Jai being the only one in the group who knows “English” does a great job by speaking broken English...lol and theres this scenece by the beach which he is reading a letter, which i liked the most. Vaibev, who i have not seen before in any movie, claims to be a ladies man, but at the end gets hooked to Sneha, and theres actually a suspense there which was a nice touch.
Oh My God, Aaravind Akash’s bdy was to die for! Such a refreshment from his usual lame roles. Oh by the way he’s gay in the movie wit his partner Sampath. That guy is so good, like he was so gay, if there was an award in anything that would nominate him for ‘best supporting actor’ i think they should and he should so win! But i wonder how the villagers in India took the whole gayness thing. Cause even here on the CD a part has been cut off, like where they confess their ‘love’ for each other. Lol!

Prasanna, Nayantara and Simbhu make appearances, in that order. Pia is ok, nothing to shout bout, and the Melissa i think, she was quite cute in all her scences, especially hwere she speaks tamil, by the way she really does, apparently.
The movie on the whole was some happy go lucky show, nothing too serious or what so ever. Nothing to shout about either, if you bored, wanna see some bikini clad girls and a whole lot of Malaysia and all that, its a decent watch,. But the songs were nice. By Yuvan i think.

Verdict: Fun! And just that!
