I have never utilized a lunch break in a better way. No meeting friends and seeing new clients and just reading a book in a crowded restaurant with the ipod plugged in is good, but today was awesome. Why you ask? I spent the afternoon with George Clooney *drools*. Yes I did go for the show alone; I have come a long way from the 20 people group movie tours that i used to organize. Like how many of you discuss the movie with the person next to you while its running? A) its annoying B0 i like to concentrate, thank you.... so i have picked up this habit of, “if you wanna do, just go do it, who cares what the person next to you thinks oh of course but if its ur boss whose gonna kick u for a 2 hour lunch break, then...)”
Up in the air is an Academy award nominated. It falls under the categories of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting actress for the two leading females in the movie. Ok compared to the ‘hu ha’avatar created this is gonna look like a bird in avatar BUT its good. Its very good and I strongly recommend you watch it.

George Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, who lives by his lectures ‘What’s in you Backpack?’. His motive is convincing you to leave your life behind and carry no burdens of people, things, and properties as such. No he is not a motivational speaker by genre; his job is an employee’s nightmare and a employers saviour. What? He works for a company whom are sent to other companies to fire people on behalf of the chickened employer. And Ryan’s goal in life, to accumulate 10 million air miles and that would make hi the 7th person in the world to do so. So every city he flies to, every car he rents, hotel he stays and food he eats makes him closer to the goal.
Why would someone have such a bizarre goal in life? For one reason, he spends 320 glorious days flying and 43 whole miserable days at home. Most people would find, breathing in recycled oxygen, airline food, getting free cookies and drinks at hotel not very pleasant, I mean the skies rarely provide the welcoming feel anymore but Ryan says that only that makes him feel right at home.
It is amazing how he finds comfort in all the weird parts of an airport. Plus the movie teaches you a few packing tips i.e: how to be a practical packer, to get thru airport screening quickly, and shows you the easy ropes about a small simple hotel.
Anyway by now you might be thinking, the movie s just about him? Well by now i was waiting for a terrorist attack or a bomb blast, but n, it was lady love knocking on the door, Vera Farmiga, who plays Alex. Alex just
like Ryan spends a lot of time transmitting at the airport. They both become intertwined in each other that it starts to change his life. Most of the comedy is by the both of them, by the perfect timing and facial expressions, but of course they have some sizzling romantic scenes going on there as well. (on the other hand, they could have avoided the bad double nude body)
On his work side, Ryan has a nemesis, Anna Kendrick who plays Natalie. Graduated on top f her class, she
follows her boy and decides to join this company. She comes up with an idea on how you can fire people online, like video Skype or something. This obviously puts Ryans lifetime goal in danger. So for that very reason, he tries to get his boss to reject the idea, but ends up having to take Natalie on his travels to teach her the ropes ofthe job in order to prefect the online firing service.
How the movies flows about with that idea, what happens to Alex and Ryan plus what about Ryans family forms the rest of the movie. If you’re bored of action packed movies that we have been feed for the last few months and would appreciate a wonderful script and great acting. This is one movie you must simply catch. Btw, it was directed by Jason Rietman of Juno and Thank you for not smoking.
