all about a salsa fanatic and how he reached his destination

Sitting on the train, there i was thinking, man what a day!

Just the night before, the futsal team under my lead had lost the game. Well not like the world would have ended if i hadn gone to play, but the team might have the lost its discipline which could have been an even bigger factor for the loss. Well swallowing the loss with a tub of Bud’s mocha ice cream, I tried to get some sleep seeing that my flight to Bali was at 3.30pm the next day.

Just as i was going to get some rest, the report i had to submit in the next day came haunting me. Man, with that i had to drag myself outta bed to try complete it. Feeling sluggish, i decided to go in the next morning to finish it.

And yes you guessed right, the bad mood followed me in my dreams that i felt so sick in the morning. Being the champion i am, decided to stay home to finish the report, a million other chores came and fell into place while i was at it. Man it was SO stressful, further more when my supervisor said that the report was horrid and that i had to redo. I just lost it. Finally at 1230 after submitting the redo, and the chores, and packing the bag and locking my house i was out!, phew!!!

I go to get a cab, a whole half an hour later, im still standing on the road, but no i did not think of calling the service. But oh well, there i go unlocking the house to get the car keys and im out again. In 10 minutes im outside central, trying to give my friend the luggage when we realized the system would have already shut down to check in, yes we were flying MARS.

Anyway i had to run back to the car so that it wouldn get clamped, i mean who needs another drama right. So in trying to avoid my car from getting clamped, i got stuck in Jalan Bangsar instead because i forgot to turn in at Jalan Tun sambanthan. After the major frustration at the freaking jam for 20 whole EntirE minutes, i finally got a parking spot and ran into sentral to meet my friend. For some weird reason we decided to change our cash there and we missed the train by FOUR minutes. Let me underline that for you, it was just four minutes.

And just because of that, the counter closed at KLIA, they wouldn let us board the flight. Let alone check in. After massive negotiation, we were still at square one. With no other option other than to buy another replacement ticket for a few hundred extra ringgit, at a discount which still pinched my wallet, we dragged our feet to Burger King.

And here i am in the train back to my car and back home. The only pleasant surprise for the last few hours was surely the sweetest! It being, seeing Karun Chandhok in the same train with the Hispania Racing team members who were here for the Sepang F1 weekend and being a F1 freak, i missed Sepang F1 for BALI? And my flight too! And seeing SK at the circuit as well....gah!

...eventually the next day, yes i did catch my flight and Bali International Salsa festival was a story of its own! Oh and my friends side of the story too does exist (the tension of waiting for me..lol).... so that would be something to write about.

Lesson learnt: never keep chores for before boarding your flight, it’s a BAD choice.
